Colorado Trail Resources by Segment

The Colorado Trail is divided into 28 segments. If you are planning a trip on The Colorado Trail this summer, you need the CT Official Guidebook, Data Book and CT Map Book, all which are available through the CT Store. The Official Guidebook: The Colorado Trail lists the individual United States Geological Survey quadrangle maps required for each segment of the Trail and any other maps that are appropriate.

The Trail Resources by Segment information below is not intended to be a complete list of resources, however, it will be a useful place to start planning your trip and to check for recently updated information. Unusual or abnormal trail conditions brought to the attention of The Colorado Trail Foundation by users will be posted as received. Persons planning Colorado Trail hikes can also check with the appropriate U S Forest Service District Ranger Office (listed below for each segment) for trail conditions.

If you plan on using any Accommodations listed, please contact them directly to ensure that their services will meet your individual needs.

Click a Segment number below to be taken to that Segment's resources or scroll through the list.
